Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

Schenectady is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Schenectady is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The atmosphere is classic Schenectady Italian. Overall the setting in comfortable and attractive. Service was erratic and uncoordinated. No sooner was our salad delivered our Main was also delivered. One of the attendants then tried to remove the salad plates which has been delivered just moments before. Silverware was removed without replacing it leave us without the appropriate silverware. The server was not aware that Pellegrino was not offered and our Saratoga water was served over a full glass of ice (we are accustomed to it being served chilled but without ice). That said, the servers were friendly. Overall the food was solid

I ordered the chicken and broccoli Alfredo it was massive but plain and all the pasta was clumped together for $33. the chicken Antonio was amazing which was what my husband ordered packed with flavor, the kids ordered spaghetti which was like 12 but to add meatball was $6 each. The eggplant parm was massive as well. Good experience just wish my Alfredo had more flavor.

This is top two pastas I've ever ate, the first was pasta I had in Milan, Italy lol π. I cannot say enough amazing things about this family owned restaurant. I travel 4 hrs from Pennsylvania just to eat here. The food, service, atmosphere, wait time, everything is 12/10! I had the calamari, roman rigatoni with vodka sauce and Italian sausage, and tiramisu. This is the type of food that feels like grandma or βNonaβ cooks and you have to wear stretchy pants because you'll be eating until you physically can't anymore. I went home and had the best sleep after my dinner here. I got to talk to the owner and learn about the history of their restaurant being passed down through the generations of family and what's impressive is that you can tell the recipes have been preserved well. Thank you to all the staff for great conversation and hospitality.

I try to come a few times out of the year for special occasions. The food is 10 out of 10. The Customer Service is amazing. The atmosphere itself just gives off cool vibes. If this is your first time going, please order the chicken francese you will not regret it. The prices are very fair and the drinks are very good.
